Paola Staccioli was born in Florence in 1972. Her interest in the applied arts was awakened during her university years and she took classes in batik and glassmaking. After receiving her degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Florence, in 1999, she continued fostering her passion for art even while she worked teaching English. In 2001, her father Paolo, a refined and skilled ceramicist, introduced her to his world by having her assist him in his workshop: the attraction for ceramics was immediate and she soon devoted herself to the art of her choice. She began creating unique pieces, in unusual shapes with original decorations that are powerful, magnetic and throbbing with life notwithstanding their small sizes. Hers is an enchanted, and pure world that she reveals through poetic and charming works of art.
